The Jungle Book workshop

Open to all panthers, elephants, vultures, snakes, tigers and bear-cubs aged between 8 and 12 years!

A fun-packed day-long musical theatre workshop featuring dancing, singing and acting based on Disney’s fabulous musical of the Jungle Book. Directed by Jeremy James Taylor, founder of the National Youth Music Theatre with choreographer, Katie Beard and musical director John Pearson.

Registration from 10 am, start 10.30 am.
4.00-4.30pm: a free showing of work. Relations and public welcome!

Aurora and Capoeira Workshops

Ages 7-14 years

Workshops for children exploring the exciting connections between music and dance. The workshops will be led by the lively and experienced education team of the Aurora Orchestra, working with the brilliant Cordao de Ouro, some of the world's best performers of the Brazilian dance-like martial art, Capoeira.

Summer Music 'Minstitute' for children

Sessions led by specialist Tutors Betty Power (singing), and Jacqueline Vann (Dalcroze). Rhymes & Singing games, Music and Movement & attendance at Piano concerts, with an optional introduction to the Suzuki Approach for parents.

The story of Paganini's life and an introduction to the sounds and colours of the violin. Illustrated with pictures and the wonderful playing of virtuoso Jack Glatzer. A fascinating hour for all children from age 6 and their parents.

Wandlebury Family Picnic Concert
Wandlebury Country Park (the Gogs)

A picnic on the Gogs with the whole family. Join the carnival atmosphere with percussion-based music presented by popular Ric Elsworth and local young percussionists. Wandlebury is off the A1307 Cambridge to Haverhill road, 2.5 miles south of Addenbrookes Hospital.

Outdoor concert. Bring rugs and picnic if you wish.

A workshop and concert with Steve Bingham - violin, electric violin and live looping

A workshop for violin, viola and cello players of Grade 3 and over. A chance to try an electric string instrument and to use state-of-the-art technology to transform the notes you play to create a variety of amazing sounds!

To be followed by a concert with Steve Bingham performing an eclectic mix of music for violin and electric violin, from Bach to the Beatles!
