Young Musician of the Year 2006

There were over 200 entries for this exciting new competition organised by Cambridge Youth Music. The competition was open to instrumentalists and singers aged 10 to18 years, who live or attend schools in Cambridgeshire. The winner, saxophonist Ellie McMurray, was awarded a prize of £250 and invited to perform at a public concert with an orchestra at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge.
