Ruth Thatcher
Adjudicator: Piano 10-12; Voice 10-12

Ruth Thatcher studied piano and singing at the Royal College of Music in London and is a Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music (G.R.S.M.) and an Associate of the Royal College of Music (A.R.C.M.). She continued her training in York.

"I am an experienced teacher of both piano and singing and was Head of Music in Secondary schools for 24 years where I organised many concerts and recitals. Latterly I worked as a Deputy Head teacher and a Secondary Education Adviser.

As a soloist, I have given recitals, and performed with choirs and local orchestras as well as directing music at my local church.

I am very pleased to be an adjudicator once again for Cambridge Youth Music's competition"
