Cambridge Young Composer of the Year

Cambridge Youth Music runs two music competitions for young people in Cambridgeshire – the Cambridge Young Musician of the Year for instrumentalists and singers and the Cambridge Young Composer of the Year for young composers. Both were launched very successfully in 2006, attracting well over 200 entries.

The Cambridge Young Musician of the Year competition is held every two years. Click here for results of the 2010 competition. Details of the 2012 competition will be announced in 2011.

Cambridge Competitive Music Festival

This Festival, first begun in 1934, aims to encourage musicians of all abilities to share their music with others and to receive advice and encouragement from experienced professional musicians. It takes place in March and offers over 100 classes for instrumentalists and singers.
