Cambridge Youth Music (CYM) is a Charitable Trust launched in May 2005 by a group of local musicians and parents to provide support and opportunities for young musicians aged 18 and under. Since 2011 it has focussed on supporting young composers.

CYM has run the annual Cambridge Young Composer of the Year Competition since 2006 providing a platform for talented young composers aged 18 and under in Cambridgeshire. In 2017 the competition was expanded to become the East Anglian Young Composer Competition, extending opportunities for young composers into Herts, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

In 2006, 2008 and 2010 CYM also ran a performing competition, the Cambridge Young Musician of the Year.
